English Speaking Vacancy: International Service Technician – Machine Builder Cryogenic Systems

About this position

To expand our partner’s service team, we are looking for an enthusiastic service technician who enjoys being on the road and is willing to travel internationally frequently for service work. The service team consists of four other service technicians, a service coordinator, and the manager. There is a good onboarding process for this position, during which you will initially shadow an experienced service technician for a while and start with the ‘easiest’ tasks, such as maintenance work. You will steadily progress in your role until you can head out independently to install and commission a new machine. Even when working independently, you will be supported by headquarters and the engineering department. Service assignments are collected and always distributed in consultation with the entire team, taking everyone’s preferences into account.

You can expect to spend at least half the time abroad, all over the world, usually for about two consecutive weeks. The remaining time, you will help assemble the machines on location in Eindhoven; this makes your work as a service technician easier because you have a good understanding of how the machines are put together.

Installation & Commissioning: You install advanced systems at customer sites and ensure they are operational.

Maintenance & Repair: You perform (preventive) maintenance on the advanced installations and resolve malfunctions.

Analysis: You dive deep to analyze complex technical problems. Where necessary, you liaise with engineering to find the right solution.

Optimization: You proactively contribute ideas on how they can improve their service processes and maintenance methodologies.

The Organization

This company is an experienced player in the field of systems used to liquefy various types of gases, such as nitrogen and natural gas. With more than 4,000 installed systems in over 50 countries, the company is a leader in every respect in the field of medium-sized cryogenic systems, which are regularly used under extreme conditions. The office and workshop are located in the Eindhoven area.

You can join them directly on contract and are therefore not seconded or deployed through us; in this way, you immediately become a real part of the team.

What do you bring?

You are a real go-getter who likes to take the lead. Because you are often on the road, a customer-oriented and service-oriented attitude is essential.

Education: A completed technical education (minimum MBO level), such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.

Demonstrable knowledge of electrical engineering and PLC control technology.

Experience: You have several years of work experience in a similar service role.

Languages: Good command of at least English.

Residence: You live in the wider Eindhoven area.

Salary: A gross maandly salary between €3,500 and €5,000 (based on a 40-hour work week), depending on your knowledge and experience.

Free time: No less than 38 dags off per year (25 vacation dags + 13 ATV dags) for full-time employment. You will join an international organization with an informal corporate culture where collegiality comes first.
