About this vacancy

This role combines two part-time functions made into one full-time function. This employer is looking for someone who is mainly helping the main assembler with the assembly of the different product lines, but also likes to go on the occasional service assignment in the local area (in the Netherlands or Germany). This role is ideal for someone with a little bit of previous experience in assembly who has a growth-mindset, since growing opportunities are amazing within this company. Below follows the description of both roles, which are combined into this one vacancy.

The Assembly Engineer’s primary role within the organization is to be the co-main hands-on assembler and technical specialist concerning the manufacturing of all various product lines. Ensuring the products are built and packed against the company’s quality standards & dispatched on time.

The Service Engineer’s primary role within the organization is to execute all onsite service activities at the national customers, with the highest possible quality and in compliance with all safety norms and against the company’s quality standards.

Work description

The Assembly Engineer part:

  • Preparation & picking of all required product assembly materials.
  • Building of product sub & full assemblies.
  • The testing of sub & final assemblies as per internal FAT procedures.
  • Laser engraving of system tag plates & schematics.
  • Inspection of incoming goods from sub-suppliers.
  • Booking in and out of materials withint the ERP system.
  • The recording of NCR (Non-Conforming Record).
  • Packaging of project consignments ready for dispatch.
  • Keeping product Kan-Ban levels updated to the factory lead or procurement officer.
  • Lean / Kaizen continuous improvement projects within the manufacturing zones.
  • General housekeeping (5s) of all manufacturing zones.

The Service Engineer part:

  • Execute onsite service work in a highly qualified and customer-focused manner.
  • Measuring: standard and advanced valves, gearboxes and control systems.
  • Installation and commissioning: interlocks, machine guarding and new product applications.
  • Troubleshooting: interlocks, machine guarding process sequence applications.
  • Project management: international and offshore, guiding onsite local service engineers.
  • Surveys, functional checks and operational inspections.
  • Working with detailed project matrix’s, P&ID’s and technical drawings.
  • Accurate reporting: during and after completion of a job, internal as well as external.
  • Promote proactively the service products during onsite visits, provide leads to Sales.
  • Continuous work safely & without risk to health & environment thought pattern.
  • General housekeeping (5s) while onsite or within factory manufacturing zones.

This company’s headquarters is based near Breda and Tilburg in the Netherlands, where this role will be. They operate directly or indirectly in 55 countries across the world, with multiple hubs being developed. They are specialized in manufacturing Mechanical & Electromechanical Interlock & Process Safety solutions.

This location has around 15 experienced and diverse (some Dutch, some foreign) team members that work tightly together to guarantee the safest solutions and provide professional services towards their clients.

Their products cross all Industrial boundaries of Operational Process Safety, and not only within the oil & gas environment. They are also there to support their clients, advise on process safety, mitigate any human failure, to ensure people go home safely at night to their families, and create a safer working environment.

Who are you?

  • Strong interest in this technical field and having a growth-mindset.
  • Preferably( a little bit of) experience in assembly.
  • VCA-Full certificate or wanting to get this via the employer.
  • Teamplayer
  • Willingness to travel, sometimes on a short notice.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills of the English and preferably Dutch language.
  • Driving License B.
